Mr. Olson is a partner with the firm's Bankruptcy, Commercial Litigation, Corporate and Securities, and Real Estate practice groups. He practices primarily in corporate restructuring, bankruptcy, insolvency, secured and real estate transactions, commercial law and commercial litigation.
Mr. Olson, who is board-certified in Business Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification, has represented creditors, landlords, debtors, trustees, equity security holders and creditors in cases ancillary to foreign proceedings in a number of bankruptcy proceedings. He has also represented a variety of lenders and landlords in transactional, eviction and litigation matters. Representative clients and matters include the Official Equity Security Committee for USA Capital Diversified Trust Deed Fund in the USA Commercial Mortgage Company bankruptcy, Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the State Line Hotel & Casino bankruptcy, Balfour Beatty Construction in the Washington Group International bankruptcy,
USF&G and National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, Pa., in the Pegasus Gold bankruptcy; Resort Funding, Inc., in the Debbie Reynolds Hotel & Casino bankruptcy, the Debbie Reynolds Hotel & Casino, Timex Corporation in the Nishika bankruptcy, the debtor in possession in the Baby Grand, Inc., dba Maxim Hotel & Casino bankruptcy, and Experian Information Solutions.
Mr. Olson was previously with Beckley Singleton, which partnered with Lewis and Roca in 2007. While attending law school, he was inducted into the Order of the Coif and Phi Kappa Phi and also served as Comment Editor for the Land and Water Law Review.
