Mary Peterson, owner of Rightsize Communications, is a freelance writer, public relations specialist and marketing consultant. Her resume includes work in government, real estate development and with several advertising and public relations agencies. She's written copy and feature articles for clients as diverse as General Mills, Wells Fargo Bank and U.S. West. In addition to her work in the private sector, Peterson has extensive professional experience with non-profits in Minnesota, Colorado and Nevada. She has done work for the Denver Chamber of Commerce, Minneapolis YWCA and Minnesota Children's Theater Company. An active volunteer, she has served on the board of directors of the Colorado Volunteers of America, the Colorado Adoption Alliance, the Minnesota Youth Diversion Program and the Las Vegas Chapters of the American Marketing Association and the League of Women Voters. She holds a master's degree in Business Communications from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota.
