Overview:

Come celebrate with TMA of Nevada our recipients for outstanding achievement in business. We are rolling out the red carpet and you are the stars at our second annual TMA Nevada Award Night on January 26, 2010 at no less than, Planet Hollywood. We'll be delivering an overview of 2010's exciting evening panels, round table breakfasts, appreciating outstanding members and sponsors in their turnaround and volunteer work for TMA Nevada.


Award Categories include:

TMA of Nevada's Most Valuable Member Award - This member is recognized as being critical in helping the chapter grow its membership base, raising awareness of the chapter to the general business community and building programs that benefit the entire membership.

NEW AWARD! TMA Nevada Presents: The Nevada Banking Institution Consolidation Performance Award - This community service award is given to a bank which has serviced the Las Vegas community and has been most instrumental in maintaining and restoring a sense of confidence in our banking system during the financial crisis and spate of bank failures of 2009. Nominees are recognized and appreciated for providing smooth, safe and easy transitions for customers of failed banks either through the processes of bank absorptions or bank closings.

Catherine Cortez Masto
Catherine Cortez Masto

Catherine Cortez Masto was sworn in as Nevada's Attorney General in January 2007.

Prior to her service as Attorney General, Masto worked as Assistant County Manager for Clark County.

This involved working with the county's agencies to improve children's services including foster care, adoption services, child welfare services and juvenile justice programs. She assisted in the creation of the Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative to build a better legal system ensuring youth accountability and the use of appropriate community-based alternatives.

Cortez Masto worked on the development and implementation of the Criminal Justice Advisory Counsel whose mission included creation of an efficient working relationship, promotion of best practices and improving communication among the departments within the criminal justice system.

Prior to working at Clark County, Cortez Masto spent two years as a federal criminal prosecutor for the United States Attorney's Office in Washington, D.C. During her tenure as an Assistant United States Attorney, she prosecuted criminals for felony possession and distribution of drugs.

In September 1995, Cortez Masto was appointed to work in Nevada Governor Bob Miller's administration, where she ran his southern Nevada office. She provided supporting legal counsel, organized legislation for new state programs, facilitated public policy and managed intergovernmental affairs for various state agencies and commissions. In July 1998, Governor Miller appointed Cortez Masto to be his Chief of Staff.

Cortez Masto was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in 1990, the U.S. District Court, District of Nevada in 1991 and the U.S. Court of Appeals, for the Ninth Circuit in 1994.

Cortez Masto attended the University of Nevada Reno, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1986 with a major in Finance. She graduated Cum Laude from Gonzaga University School of Law, in Spokane, Washington in 1990.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations/refunds may not be made on-line.

MORE THAN 7 DAYS BEFORE EVENT: Event registration(s) may be cancelled provided notice of cancellation is sent in writing to us by using filling out our contact form (choose "RSVP Change Notice") and received more than 7 calendar days before the Event. If cancellation is so received, a refund of any amount paid will be paid within 30 days after the Event. In lieu of cancellation, registration may be transferred to any other similar TMA NV Event held within twelve (12) months of the date of the original Event.

LESS THAN 7 DAYS BEFORE EVENT: Cancellations may not be made -- nor refunds issued. However, any registration may be transferred to any other employee or member of the same company or organization of the original registrant.

FAILURE TO ATTEND: Refunds or transfers may not be issued to any registrant who fails to attend a Event.
